“My Story” by Female 37
by TheCat · Published · Updated
Life was full of love and happiness,
Now its only anger and sadness.
Family and friends would gather round,
The house was full, funny and load.
Now it’s empty, quiet and nothing,
No one is here and nobody’s coming.
Battered and bruised – inside and out,
Always questioning – always doubt.
Feelings of guilt, anger and shame,
When things go wrong, always to blame.
No one to turn to, nowhere to be,
Nobody close at all to me.
Isolated. Feeling alone,
Crouching below him in my own home.
I have no fight in me anymore,
Inside I shout, I scream, I roar !
Does anyone listen?
Can anyone hear?
If only I could disappear.
Feelings of guilt, for doing no wrong,
Where will the strength come from – to go on?
Is this real? or someone’s nightmare?
As I wallow in the deep pit of despair.
Blood and tears soak into my pillow
I lie quiet and still whispering “no”.
It’s always “I love you” after everytime
Never mentioning the awful crime
Where would I run to? What would I do?
Trapped like an animal in the zoo.
Days and weeks turn into years,
I have cried far too many tears.
Love is gentle, kind and true,
Not rough and tough, black and blue.
It’s time to fight back with all of my might,
It’s no longer dark, there is light.
My heart beats fast, I feel so strong.
I’m going to live my life…….
My story goes on …….
