“Frightened of the truth” by Female 26
by TheCat · Published · Updated
It all started after a night out with friends in 2016.
Me and Scott went home, we both had a bit to drink. Having a great night and a giggle with peers.
It got to 11.30pm and decided to call it a night.
We all separated, me and Scott walking to get a taxi.
My phone rang it was my mum, after speaking to her for approx 10 – 15 mins, I said love you and hung up.
Then thats when it started, Scott was yelling in my face calling me ignorent, a slag, you name it hes called me it.
So I kept my mouth shut all the way to the taxi rank and the journey home.
I thought maybe he would calm down!!
But I was wrong, when we got home we both walked in our house and he grabbed my hair dragging me to the ground.
Spitting on me and kicking me all over, repeating am a slag, cow, ***** then he got my phone out of my bag, dropped it to the floor and jumped on it until it smashed.
Telling me I couldn’t phone anyone again then started beating me again.
I tried to run but my legs just wouldn’t work. I was terrified.
I was going to die that night.
He calmed down sittin in separate rooms.
I tried to go to the front door where the keys were nowhere to be found..
He had them, Scott heard me and came out into the hall where I was and yelled am not leaving the house.
He started walking towards me with a bottle of mad-dod 20/20 in his right hand.
I knew what was coming next, so I covered my face with my shaking hands.
He couldn’t get my face so he lifted his hand with the bottle in it and started wacking my head with it.
Then it went pitchblack, he knocked me out.
I heard faint voices when I was coming round.
It was my neighbour on his phone to the police and ambulance service.
I came round scared, confussed and full of blood.
He told me I was going to be OK, help was on its way.
I asked where Scott was and told my neighbour it was him.
To his reply he didn’t know!!
He ran out and left me for dead with the front door wide open thankfully or I would have been dead.
The police raced into my house with paramedics, I was taken to Glasgow Royal to get looked at.
Which turned out he had fractured my skull and I had a small bleed in the brain which would heal its self.
After 3 hours the officer came to tall me Scott couldn’t deal with the truth what he did to me and handed himself in and got 2 years in prison for permanent disfigurement.
Next day I was allowed home.
I couldn’t face going back to my house so I stayed with my mum and dad for 3 months and I got a new house.
My bleeding in the brain has finally stopped.
I can get on with my life now but can Scott ever get on with his life?
Knowing what he did to me?
I hope not.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to open up about my living hell.
The only way is up and there’s a light at the end of the tunnel.
STOP DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND STOP IT NOW.
